In this context, our OSB, PB and MDF solutions can contribute to selected LEED® certification requirements, specifically in terms of:
We have Environmental Product Declarations for all our ranges, presenting a transparent view of their environmental impact, based on the EN 15804 standard.
Our PB solutions incorporate recycled wood, and the company operates a wood recycling network, which allows the reintegration of recovered wood into the industrial process.
100% of the wood used by Sonae Arauco comes from certified or controlled sources, in accordance with applicable FSC®(FSC®C09049) and PEFC (PEFC/14-35-00013) chain-of-custody requirements.
For selected OSB, PB and MDF product ranges, no-added-formaldehyde resin options are available.
Sonae Arauco also manages its product portfolio in line with the applicable requirements of EU REACH Regulation (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals), which is designed to protect human health and the environment.
