Continente has a new innovation laboratory with Innovus solutions

The Co-Lab: Innovation Laboratory for Customers is Continente’s first laboratory created specifically with the aim of having a multidisciplinary space for research and development of its private label products with consumers, suppliers and staff.

Located in the Continente shopping centre in Amadora, Lisbon, this technological laboratory incorporates two Innovus references: Smart Ash Light (M6305) and Prime White (B3768).

The wood decor was selected for its "colour, pattern and texture – which are very true to life – going perfectly with the use of natural wood and plant elements in the space," explained Helena Henriques and Sofia Coutinho, architects responsible for the project, from Sonae MC.

The Co-Lab is made up of several kitchens and show cooking areas, biochemical and sensorial laboratories with 12 tasting rooms, focus group observation, beauty and design rooms. The Innovus decors were chosen for the walls, furniture, panels and meeting room and laboratory tables, and Smart Ash Light (M6305) was used as a decorative element in the common areas.

"Whether colours, patterns or textures, Sonae Arauco’s catalogue of decorative solutions is always an inspiration and a good ally in the initial research and development phase of projects, where the choice of resistant, durable and cost controlled materials is a priority," they added.
